me ignore you long time, LJ.
i was trying to see if i could view a hate letter my small former roomate sent to residence life at our school! but i don't think it's working! leeny! help!
a week from sunday i'll be moving into 202 partridge street and starting my third year at st. rose. i will be working at an apple farm with my new housemate katy smith and i really really really can't wait to just get there and get going. i'm sick of serving steaks and i kind of miss everyone. we're going to make food! all the time!

last night i saw rilo kiley at webster hall. talk about a SICK live band. they're all so talented, together, wonderful, beautiful--add more positive adjectives here. every single member is a genius with their instrument(s)--jenny plays like 4 different ones. i wasn't sure what to expect, but i was really blown away. the best part was that people didn't sing along as much, cause everyone just wanted to listen. it was beautiful!
they played with portastatic (who weren't very good) and the brunettes, this awesome pop band from new zealand. they were like straight up british mod pop rock. lots of clapping, xylophones, triangles, moog, etc. i had so much fun.
so the brunettes cd is on my list, along with the elected.
eric and katy came down to see the show too. they stayed over for the night. i think they were scared of long island, but had a great time. it was so great to see them. i really love them alot. ha!
summer is good. i work at pizza hell alot, but it's ok. friends are good. boy is good. life is good.
i got a lamp at a garage sale for 5 dollars!

i am back on long island, and it's wonderful.
the past two days have been awesome. i didn't have to do anything...so i baked, i played my guitar, i took pictures outside, got them developed, went for a drive, went to the gym, went to my brother's baseball game. tonight AGU is playing at a bar in bellmore, so i think i'll hit that up to show sean some support.
i don't wanna go back to pizza hell!
i just wanna go to the beach!
oh, weird. since i'm apparently a grown up now, i had to fill out a questionaire for JURY duty today. ewww.

ok. so i've been in the library for the past 2 hours with katy doing geology CD rom fun. i mean no fun. and i took a break to regain strength and take more allergy medicine, and possibly some more coffee for the rest of the evening cramming for this stupid geo final. thennn i got to looking at everyone's livejournals reflecting on their freshman year at college. and then i think, "ohh i should do that." so lame. here i go!
this year rocked. i was reading travis clause's article in the Chronicle, (which you should read) and it basically summed up how he hopes everyone made the best of freshman year, because nothing is really going to beat it. basically, i'm glad i roamed the streets on saturday night instead of staying in and beating art history or geology into my head. it might not have been the wisest decision in terms of my finals...but i did get to hang out with alot of my friends, not only drive in albany but drive the big blue aficionado band van (sober) come home, get pizza with more friends (not sober, at that point) and sleep knowing that was the last weekend night here in albany. it poured, too. and i didn't care. albany isn't that bad. summer will be wonderful. the beach will be wonderful. having money will be wonderful.
i packed all my stuff, pretty much. the day after tomorrow i go home.
and that's it.

this thing is so silly.
this week has been kind of on the down side. i've had alot of work and stress, a bit of drama, registration, room reservation, etc etc etc. and now i'm sick and my face broke out, which sucks. rah.
yesterday was a bit better though, it was beautiful outside, i didn't do alot in either of my 2 art classes, i got extra credit in geology by going to a lecture downtown at the state museum (PS those buildings and fountains and stuff on a really nice day with the sun going down is AWESOME right over the hudson river!!) then eric and i sang at open mic. this was the first time i sang at all since i've been here so i was really stoked, and everyone liked the song we did. it felt good, and kind of made up for a shitty week.
i'm registered. here's the schedule...
MW- Art History II- 9:50 with Wolf/Painting I-11:30-2:30 with Brodie/Educational Computing 4:30-7 mondays only
TR- Sculpture I 8:30-11:30 with Flanigan/Black and White Photography 12-3 with Santelli
and the best class, Water Aerobics on Tuesday from 6-7 in the POOL!
and fridays off, AGAIN. yuss.
end of semester- 1 month, 5 days
my birthday- 11 days
weekend- 5 hours.
tonight: OC and a dance party. sick, brah.

Today we had no classes for advisement day. It looks like I'll be trying to sign up for MW Art History II, then Painting I, and Educational Computing (powerpoint class HA) and TR Sculpture I, Black and White Photo, and Water Aerobics (SWEET)
I decided to change my degree program to BFA instead of BS. Bachelor of Fine Arts will be sick, except I'm gonna have to stay one semester after my 4 years, which blows. So I won't graduate with everyone. I don't know, I might end up not doing this, but I should. We'll see.
It was SUPER nice out today, and this shitty Albany weather is starting to look spring-like, which means my mood is 20x better when I wake up in the morning. After advisement me, Leila, and Hassan walked around Lark Street and got gyros that were amazing. I'm going home again this weekend for Easter. I've been home every weekend in March except the first one, haha. It's good though, cause I don't really feel the serious separation between home and school, I feel like I really have two homes finally, and I don't hate Albany so much anymore. Whatevs.
What else...partied last night at 930 Madison which got busted by the cops, got some sweet phonecalls from Mike and Christine, slept today. Yuh.

on account that my parents NEVER go out, my two brothers and i jumped right on the chance to throw a party when our parents decided to go out tonight. so my mom comes into my room before she leaves and says "carrie--don't make a mess. order a pizza if youre hungry. and oh yeah....NO DRINKING." uhhh. ok peace out ma!
of course, all three of us didn't consort with eachother and each sibling invited like 8 friends each to come over and drink. there ended up being like 30 or more kids in and out all night. james's (younger brother) friends were the worst. just picture like a bajillion 11th graders that were the lame sophomores when you were a senior turning your dining room into a beer pong table, or hooking up in your laundry room, or TOUCHING YOUR IPOD! THAT'S JUST CROSSING THE LINE! gosh!
in reality it wasn't all that bad. but it sucked having to be the babysitter all night and barely getting a chance to enjoy myself and drink too much.. oh well. it was a good way to end my break i guess. all the friends who were home pretty much showed up. it was cool.
i don't wanna go back to school.
god please make it summer.
